Dynamic Optimization In Forza Motorsport 6 Apex Tweaks Graphics Settings On The Fly
Forza Motosport 6 Apex beta has arrived on PC and it marks the first time that this racing series has left Xbox family. It is not a full fledged Forza 6 but we shall take what we can get our hands on for now. What is really interesting about this game is that Forza Motorsport 6 Apex has dynamic optimization graphics setting, a tool which has never been used in the game before.
What this setting does is that user sets a target frame rate for the game and the game automatically adjusts the graphics setting in order to keep a constant frame rate. When players start a race on a packed starting grid, players might notice that draw distance and texture quality might lower bit, and in less intensive parts of the game the graphics will ramp up.
To summarize it, the game will be constantly optimizing itself and deliver the best possible visuals the hardware can provide. In theory it sounds amazing, but in reality it is a tricky prospect to be put into place.
If this system is not properly implemented anything can go wrong at a moment`s notice. If there is a delay in a demanding scene and graphics dropping, it could introduce stuttering to the game and ruin the experience.
Should it work perfectly for everyone then it would be great for PC gaming, imagine if every game could tweak its graphics settings on the fly so that the frame rate never drops.
Game driver for Forza 6 Apex have been released by Nvidia, which make sure that the game runs smoothly on your Nvidia graphics card.
