How to Change iOS Icons from Rectangles to Circles Without Jailbreaking Your Device
Changing the shape of your iOS icons usually requires you to jailbreak your device; however, a YouTube user has found a simple trick to make your app folders from the classic rounded rectangles to ordinary circles.
All you have to do is uploading a photo and setting it as your wallpaper. The gimmick takes only a few minutes to complete, and as said above, won’t require any jailbreaking.
First things first, download a sufficiently small image, the ones used in the video demonstration are 3×3 pixels. But, if you don’t have any 3×3 images in your collection, head over to this Weebly site where photos of that size have already been compiled for iPhone users.
Once downloaded, navigate to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper > Camera Roll and select the tiny image there.
The round-folder trick seems to work on any iOS device running the latest mobile version i.e, iOS 9.3, as well as iPad tablets. Though this method doesn’t change the shape of all folders, and if you’re on an iPad, the shape actually depends on the orientation of the tablet.
The trick works without altering the device’s software, which might make you wonder how could this happen in the first place. Well, we have no idea about it. Whatever the case be, it really does look cool.
So, are you going to change your iOS home screen icons from rectangles to circles?
