Uncharted 4 Has Pretty Steady Frame Rate on PS4, Early Buyers Reveal
With Unchartered 4 out in the wild ahead of the May 10 release, spoilers and performance analyses have started making rounds on the web.
Naughty Dog’s last Uncharted title, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, was originally due to release today, but the game was delayed as makers wanted to allow an “extra manufacturing time” for a simultaneous global release. Unfortunately though, some retailers including UK’s CeX and Amazon didn’t receive the memo and have started selling early copies to buyers and pre-orderers — opening the inevitable flood of spoilers and eBay listings.
Sony was quick to take action, and have since taken down various Uncharted 4 videos on YouTube, along with removing the eBay listings. However, there is not much the company can do about the copies that have already been sold. Well, in addition to throwing spoilers, a few early buyers have also shared how the new title performs on PlayStation 4.
An early buyer told Videogamer that the single-player campaign “is so far running fine,” adding that Uncharted 4’s frame rate is pretty steady on PS4. “Uncharted 4 may have a few frame drops but not so noticeable.” The FPS drops aren’t game-breaking even “during heavy firefight it wasn’t too bad with framerates.”
With Naughty Dog having to fire up the multiplayer servers yet, the early copies of Uncharted 4 are singleplayer-only. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, is set to release on May 10 worldwide exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
