Intel Broadwell-E CPUs Up for Pre-order On NCIX Ahead of Schedule
Intel Broadwell-E processors have been listed for pre-order at NCIX ahead of schedule, revealing that these processors are available but currently are not in stock.
The prices for Intel Broadwell-E are very high than what we were expecting, maybe once these processors are released the actual MSRP will be lower. Or, if you are an early adopter then you can pre-order it and be first to get your hands on this processor.
Intel has already released its server oriented Brodwell-EP and these processors have shown significant increment in performance over Haswell-EP counterparts. Broadwell-EP was also listed on websites such as eBay way before its scheduled release date but Intel is somewhat being strict with Broadwell-E launch as we have yet to see any images or benchmarks for these processors.
These new E-series CPUs will be compatible with 2011 v3 sockets and also with X99 motherboard chipset. However, you will require to download a BIOS update for X99 motherboards to execute the new microcode. This makes it an easy upgrade for those looking to save money or those who want absolute fastest CPU attached to their motherboard.
NCIX lists Core i7-6800K for $629.99, Core i7-6850K for $889.99, Core i7-6900K for $1495.99, and last but not least, Core i7-6950X is available for a whooping $2349.98.
What do you think of these prices listed by NCIX? Are they reasonable or too high? Let us know in the comments.
