AMD Reportedly Signs a Deal with Sugon to Manufacture Server based Zen Products
A report has emerged online which suggest that AMD will soon announce its joint venture with China based Sugon company.
The report comes from Fudzilla which claims that their sources are confident about this joint venture announcement. According to the report, Sugon has made a direct deal with AMD to manufacture server based hardware for the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Sugon Information Industry Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise established on the basis of the major scientific research achievements of the National High Technology Research and Development Program (the 863 Program) with the vigorous promotion by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The company specializes in research & development, and manufacturing of high performance computers, and enterprise servers. Additional, they have expertise in doing some software design and system integration, as well.
Sugon recently made it to the news with its Nebula high performance computer which was ranked at the second place in 35th Global Supercomputer TOP 500 Competition. The super computer topped 3 Petaflops per second system peak and 1.271 Petaflops per second measured linpack speed.
With these performance numbers, Nebula became third in the world with performance measure over a Petaflop.
According to the report, AMD’s joint venture with Sugon will soon be announced, and if the deal includes any use or study of the next generation products such as AMD Zen X86 high end CPU then the company might be on the right track.
