Nvidia Driver 364.72 Affecting FPS Performance in The Division
Nvidia Driver 364.72 has brought nothing but notable performance issues across many different games. These include Dark Souls 3, Killer Instinct and now The Division.
According to new reports, The Division is the latest to be affected by Nvidia driver 364.72. The driver was released in March and is causing low frame rate issues, white screens, freezing and more.
Players who were getting a solid 60FPS on The Division are now seeing a drop of 10-15 frames. What proves 364.72 being involved is that when your revert back to an older version The Division frame rate goes back up to 60.
Earlier today, we ran a story showing Killer Instinct running smoothly AMD and Nvidia hardware. The results of that benchmark showed that Killer Instinct runs exactly the same on an AMD R9 290X and GTX 980 Ti SLI. The difference is marginal.
Running the game at 1080p had a minimum of 119 frames while max frames reached 135 using an Nvidia GTX 980 Ti. Meanwhile, running the same card in SLI showed identical results, however, things get very intersting when we run the game on an AMD R9 290X.
Like I mentioned, these issues can be solved by rolling back to an older version. Let us know if you are having any issues with The Division.
