Nvidia GeForce 364.72 Drivers Bring Full VR Support, Plus Optimizations for Dark Souls 3
Following AMD, Nvidia has also released VR ready drivers, called GeForce 364.72 WHQL, which include support for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, as well as optimizations for VR titles including Eve Valkyrie, Elite Dangerous, Chronos, Project Cars, and more.
The new GeForce drivers are recommended for NVIDIA’s current-gen Maxwell graphics cards which include the GeForce GTX 970, GeForce GTX 980, GeForce GTX 980 Ti and the GeForce GTX Titan X.
In their release notes, Nvidia stated:
Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix possible makes it into the Game Ready driver. As a result, you can be sure you’ll have the best day-1 gaming experience for your favorite new titles.
In addition to bringing VR support, the latest GeForce 364.72 WHQL drivers are designed to offer full support for their VRWorks features, including Multi-Res Shading (MRS), VR SLI, Direct Mode and others. These features help VR devs design new immersive experiences and deliver lowest latency with high performance.
Further, the new WHQL drivers bring significant stability improvements, and optimizations for some non-VR titles as well, which include Dark Souls 3, Killer Instinct, Paragon, and Quantum Break.
You can download and install Nvidia GeForce 364.72 WHQL drivers by simply firing up GeForce Experience, or head over to their “Download Drivers” page.
