Nvidia 364.51 Drivers Didn’t Root Out All Problems, Crashes and Display Glitches Persist
The Nvidia 364.47 drivers had caused such a mess among the community that they had to quickly release another update to the GeForce drivers. However, the Nvidia 364.51 Drivers also haven’t been able to fix everything.
We have come across a bunch of complaints from users who updated to the latest build of the GeForce drivers but were disappointed to see that their issues persisted.
People have talked about it on NeoGAF, Reddit as well as the official forums of GeForce saying that they have experienced black screens even after the update. Some of the users have also reported on a whining sound from the GPUs although reports of that are scarce and may be unrelated to this problem.
Moving on, the comparatively more widespread issue is with booting where they are unable to boot the display. Other than that, people have complained that despite Nvidia 364.51 Drivers, they have been faced with graphics panel crashes.
The new build was originally released in beta and then a WHQL, but apparently both versions aren’t free of issues.
On the upside, some of the wrongly reported issues circling the internet suggest that the new updates, both the Nvidia 364.47 drivers and Nvidia 364.51 Drivers had somehow fried the GPUs or burning them. We can assure you that is not the case here.
This has been clarified by Nvidia itself saying that the issues do not relate to the hardware being damaged, the problems are related to glitchy displays and screen crashes at the most.
They say that there is nothing in the drivers that could possibly fry the cards.
