AMD vs Nvidia GPU Rankings and Purchase Recommendations for 2016
The AMD vs Nvidia battle rages on this year as well, and while both of them are prepping to launch their new Polaris and Pascal architectures respectively, there are still going to be millions of PC gamers who would buy one of their existing products. That is where the purchase recommendations based on current rankings come in.
For this year, we have got a long list of GPUs that you will be choosing from, but according to the benchmark graph below, the best options (based on performance) are mostly going to belong to Nvidia.
The graph has a list of 35 graphics cards, among which, the top four spots were won by GeForce GTX 980 Ti OC card, Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X (Max), Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X and Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti.
Only after those four came AMD Radeon R9 Fury X that stands a little better than GeForce GTX 980 OC card and AMD Radeon R9 Fury which follows it.
From this graph, if price is not an issue, the AMD vs Nvidia rankings are clearly topped by Nvidia.
Moving on to the purchase recommendations based on your spending capacity. For the lowest 100-150 Euro section the most suitable card would be AMD Radeon R7 370, for 151-200 Euro it is AMD Radeon R9 380 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and for 201-250 Euro slab you have got AMD Radeon R9 380X.
