First Look At Metal-Clad OnePlus 3 – Slightly Curved, Front-facing LED Flash, and More
Within just a span of two years, China-based OnePlus has become one of the leading smartphone makers of the world thanks to an ingenious mix of viral marketing and intriguing products. Since it’s already been a few months the company released its “2015 Flagship Killer,” it should now, of course, be busy preparing for the next-gen handset, possibly called the OnePlus 3.
Apart from a couple of low-res renders, we haven’t heard much about the OnePlus 3, but that was until yet a short video hit the web, showing an alleged render of the device, and revealing a few interesting details about it.
The video shows a slightly curved smartphone made of metal with a back cover that is slightly different compared to that of OnePlus One and OnePlus 2. There is a Dual-tone LED flash light on the back, coupled with a second LED flasher on front to support the selfie cam. Obviously, the phone won’t miss the Type-C USB and stereo speakers.
If previous reports are to be believed, OnePlus 3 should sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, or alternatively, 5GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Though the second hypothesis doesn’t make much sense and it seems like OnePlus will opt for the 4GB solution for both models.
For photography department, the device will boast a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front sensor, while it could pack 3,500mAh battery.
Currently, they are just rumors as nothing is backed by a solid evidence. OnePlus 3 is expected to be announced during this summer. Meanwhile, we’ll keep an eye out and update you with the latest as it happens.
