AMD Weston, Baffin and Banks GPUs Spotted in Shipping Orders
While Zauba is not the primary go to authority in matters like this, it has proven to be a good source of information leaks regarding upcoming products. This time, we have gotten our hands on details of not one but three upcoming AMD GPUs namely Weston, Baffin and Banks.
What we previously know about them is that they use new boards suggesting that we are definitely talking about new cards here. What came up on the internet from Zauba were shipping orders for Baffin XT, Weston X3, Weston PRO S3 and finally Banks PRO S3.
We have shared the image below, but here are the order details relating to the new AMD GPUs:
- PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY (VIDEO / GRAPHIC CARD) C98101 BAFFIN XT G5 4GB CHANNEL P/N 102-C98101-00 (FOC)
- PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY (VIDEO GRAPHIC CARD) C72951 WESTON X3 2GB 4.5GBPS GDDR5 P/N:102-C72952-00 (FOC)
- PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY (VIDEO GRAPHIC CARD) C72951 WESTON PRO S3 2GB 4.5GBPS GDDR5 P/N:102-C72851-00 (FOC)
- PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD ASSEMBLY (VIDEO GRAPHIC CARD) C72851 BANKS PRO S3 2GB 4.5GBPS GDDR5 P/N:102-C72851-00 (FOC)
In the entry related to Baffin, the G5 represents GDDR5 memory which stands at 4GB in the order; this could mean it is a mid-ranged card, something around Radeon Rx 470.
Moving on, we are not sure what the X3 means in the Weston related entry, it could be a typo that originally had to read XT like the entry for Baffin. Anyhow, both the Weston models have the same details here other than the board number.
Even the last entry about Banks is slightly confusing because it has exactly the same specifications and even board number as Weston Pro S3 above.
Nonetheless, we will know more about the future AMD GPUs soon enough, until then, tell us what you think.
