Samsung’s Teaser Video Confirms Galaxy S7, S7 edge Will be Waterproof, No Protruding Camera
While Samsung is expected to unveil its next flagship phone, allegedly called the Galaxy S7, on February 21st, Samsung Indonesia’s official YouTube channel has already uploaded a video that shows off some notable features of the upcoming device.
Carrying #TheNextGalaxy mark, the video shows Indonesian archer Dellie Threesyadinda training using the Galaxy S7 edge. Though the design of the device looks very close to the current S6 lineup, the interesting part is a rainy segment which confirms that the Galaxy S7 duo will indeed be waterproof as we heard in various previous rumors.
The video also confirms a WSJ report which claimed that the next-gen Galaxy handset would ditch the protruding camera hump.
Moreover, a teaser Samsung Indonesia webpage for the device was also spotted recently, which includes captions “experience privacy at its finest” and “bring light to the night,” hinting at the fingerprint sensor, and improved low-light imaging, respectively.
If previous reports are to be believed, the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will include a MicroSD card slot and larger 3000mAh and 3600mAh batteries, respectively. Both devices are rumored to be available on March 11th.
