Ripjaws V Series 128GB DDR4 3200MHz Memory Kit Costs a Whopping $1070
G.Skill recently revealed their latest Ripjaws V Series 128GB DDR4 3200MHz Memory Kit and while it boasts of impressive power, it also comes with a forebodingly high price tag of $1070.
For an X99 motherboard, the 128GB (16GB x 8) memory kit is the maximum supported capacity that can touch impressive speeds of DDR4-3200MHz.
The company also tested the kit and shared the results which we have embedded below.
G.Skill is truly excited to announce yet another breakthrough in high-performance, high-capacity DDR4 memory kit by taking a full 128GB (16GBx8), the maximum supported capacity on an X99 motherboard, to an searing speed of DDR4-3200MHz CL14-14-14-34 under 1.35V.
As far as latency is concerned, the new memory kit come with improvements to CL14-14-14-34 which is the same that was offered by their 3000MHz DDR4 kit we talked about recently. It is, however, better than the latency rates of the standard DDR4-2133MHz latency of CL15-15-15-35.
The tests were performed using Intel’s Core i7-5960X processor and MSI X99A GODLIKE Gaming motherboard. What’s impressive is that the test continued for 42 hours and according to G.Skill, the system stayed stable the whole time. Results of the test are given below.
You will be able to get your hands on the latest entry in the Ripjaws V series (if you are willing to spend that much on a memory kit) via G.SKILL authorized distribution partners before this month is over.
