Lenovo Announces K5 Note With 1.8GHz Helio P10 SoC and 3500mAh Battery
Following the launch of their Vibe K4 Note smartphone in India earlier this month, Lenovo has now announced its successor called as K5 Note in China.
Unlike the plastic build back cover on its predecessor, Lenovo K5 Note sports a premium metal unibody design. The handset is powered by MediaTek’s new Helio P10 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and the Mali-T860 GPU. As for the screen, it features a 5.5-inch 1080p display with LTPS technology and a pixel density of 401 PPI.
The internal storage is 16GB which expandable upto 128GB via a MicroSD card slot. The K5 Note boasts a 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) & dual tone LED flash and an 8MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
Further, the device features rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3500mAh capacity battery with support for fast charging adapter. As for the connectivity, the dual SIM device supports VoLTE, in addition to 4G LTE.
The K5 Note runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Vibe UI overlaid. The device will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the next few weeks. Like the Vibe K4 Note, the new phablet also supports Dolby Atmos Surround System, though the front-facing dual stereo speakers are missing.
Available in the Gold & Silver color, Lenovo K5 Note is priced at 1099 Yuan (approx $167).
