Apple’s A9X Processor Rivals Intel’s Low-End Core M
So far we have not had the pleasure of actually putting to test Apple’s new A9X processor and compare it against the rivals to see which one stands where. However, our good old friends at AnandTech have done that for us while reviewing Apple iPad Pro.
They tested the new iPad and its processor against a number of other benchmarks like Broadwell-based 12-inch Retina MacBook and ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi (for the low end and high end Intel Core M processors respectively) and Skylake-based ASUS ZenBook USX305CA which comes with a base-tier Core m3 CPU.
The results have been displayed in a table below and you can look them up yourself, however, if you would prefer the shorter version of it, the tests have revealed that Apple’s A9X processor rival Intel’s Core M processors but the low end versions of it.
For the tests, SPECint2006 was used under which it was revealed that the iPad Pro was actually able to stand up to Retina MacBook as well as Asus Zenbook UX305CA although the same cannot be said about ASUS Transformer Book T300 Chi.
If you want more you can also check out these benchmark comparisons between samsung Galaxy S7 and Apple’s A9/A9X to see how much better the A9X processor is thanks to having twice as many cores as the A9.
Before you go, do tell us what you make of the performance levels of Apple’s very own new processor.
