Claymore Mechanical Keyboard has ROG BIOS Functions Now
ASUS Claymore Mechanical Keyboard was shown off at Computex and even at that time it was a pretty impressive peripheral. Now, the company has further developed the capabilities of the keyboard and announced that when it releases, it will come with ROG BIOS functionality integration as well.
What this means is that you are going to be able to make use of dedicated BIOS function keys if they are using ASUS’ ROG line of products.
Of course this doesn’t give you a majority of the functions on your fingertips but it does add an ease of usage when you want to tweak something or ask the PC to do things like booting into the BIOS directly, adjust CPU and RAM overclocks, XMP profiles selections or managing fan speeds.
What we already know about the keyboard is that it is going to allow users to remove the number pad section from the right side and place it on the left side of the rest of the keyboard – if that suits you. Needless to say, users can also simply remove it and continue without the number pad section.
Nonetheless, this is not something any of their competitors have not done before, and the new ROG BIOS functionality is still going to stand out taller than this feature when it comes to evaluating the worth of the peripheral.
For those who don’t know, ASUS Claymore Mechanical Keyboard is expected to ship in the second quarter of this year which means we could be seeing a launch date around May or June.
