ASUS is Working on a 24″ ROG Swift G-Sync Monitor
ASUS 27″ ROG Swift G-Sync monitor is one of their popular products as well as one of the most popular G-Sync enabled monitors in the market. Now it looks like the monitor is getting a newer (and smaller) sibling.
The new product was shown off at CES 2016 and you can check it out in the video embedded below.
The Asus ROG Swift G-Sync Monitor comes with model number PG278Q has a 2560×1440 resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate at native resolution. Also it comes in 27″ size with TN panel technology. 27″ is the only size this monitor is available in.
However, when you look at the new monitor that ASUS is working on, it is expected to have a 1080p resolution with a 24″ screen. It would be expected to pack the same refresh rates at native resolution as its 27″ predecessor i.e. 144 Hz because that is what almost all the G-Sync enabled monitors have in that resolution, but ASUS wants new monitor to have a refresh rate as high as 165 Hz.
The higher refresh rate could be possible but as you can see in the video below, the 24″ ROG Swift G-Sync monitor uses a fast response rate TN panel right now which allows 144 Hz refresh rates.
Since the 24″ ROG Swift G-Sync monitor is still in its early stages of development, ASUS is yet to give it a model number.
So far, the new monitor does not have a launch date or a price but it is definitely going to be cheaper than theits previous 27″ sibling.
