MSI Gaming 27XT is World’s First AIO PC with External GPU Support
If you are looking to get your hands on a new gaming PC, MSI might have something worthy to offer. At CES 2016, the company brought with it a horde of new laptops and PCs, and among them was the new MSI Gaming 27XT.
This beauty is the world’s first All-in-One PC that allows the use of an external desktop video card. Some of the most prominent features of the PC include Nahimic Audio Enhancer, Killer Lan, 144 Hz Full HD display and more.
Andy Tung, the president of MSI Pan America was present at the launch of the products where he referred to the needs of gamers in today’s market saying although PC gaming is changing constantly, their new products meet up with the requirements of versatility, reliability and power:
Gamers demand reliable, versatile and powerful products that address their gaming needs, and our newest selection of gaming warriors address those demands. PC gaming is constantly evolving and our award-winning selection rises to any challenge.
It seems that with the new MSI Gaming 27XT PC, they are trying to prove that point.
The design chosen by MSI is rather different from the rest of its competitors as they went with an external enclosure for the full-size GPU to fit instead of the usual approach where manufacturers try to fix it inside the hood. The latter has a different variety of issues that the AIO PC would face, like thermal and power problems.
With the external graphics support, the MSI Gaming 27XT allows users to upgrade the PC graphics with ease and without tearing apart the whole thing. MSI promises that the enclosure can fit all the common sizes.
Last but not the least, you are looking at a 330 watt power for the GPU which means it should not be a problem for the PC to support cards like GTX Titan and 980 Ti – the two examples that the company gave.
