LeTV Unveils Le Max Pro – the World’s First Snapdragon 820 Running Smartphone
China’s smartphone manufacturer LeTV has unveiled Le Max Pro; the world’s first mobile phone device to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset. Le Max Pro is also LeTV’s first device to launch on the U.S. soil.
Under the hood, Le Max Pro packs 4 of Qualcomm’s – Snapdragon 820 – Kryo CPU cores running at base clock speed of 2.2 GHz, an Andreno 530 graphics processing unit, and 4 GB of RAM. The device also packs a 3,400 mAh battery and comes in 3 variants based on storage i.e. a 32 GB one, a 64 GB one, and a 128 GB one.
Furthermore, the Le Max Pro boasts a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera and 6.33-inch screen running WQHD native resolution. The device runs Android v.6.0 Marshmallow customized with LeTV’s own user interface. Last but not the least; the device also packs a touch sensor on the backside which can be used to unlock the device.
We have not had a chance to try out the device, but we will make sure to share our impressions once we get more. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of humungous devices, but I have read several reports saying that the device sits quite nicely both in hands and in pocket.
In the meanwhile, do let us know whether you will prefer LeTV’s Le Max Pro packing Snapdragon 820 chipset in the favor of popular devices available these days?
