Samsung Galaxy S7 Has Water Resistance, MicroSD, Larger Batteries and More
Yesterday we showed you the leaked front panel of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 which, disappointingly, doesn’t appear to have any major changes. If that let you down, we have a list of other impressive features that have been leaked ahead of the official reveal.
Firstly, both the S7 and S7 Edge are going to be dust and water-resistant (IP67-certified), a feature that will be returning after S5. However, that is not the only returning feature; both the smartphones are also going to get MicroSD slots back as well. These will support up to 200GB of storage cards.
Also, they will sport 3000mAh and 3600mAh batteries respectively which is going to be a sigh of relief for those who have always wanted extended usage.
The new flagship phones will have the same cameras i.e. 5MP front and 12MP primary but with f/1.7 aperture. That being said Super Amoled displays of 1440 x 2560 resolution are expected alongside a battery-friendly always-on display feature.
A horde of features for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been leaked previously. For instance, we have been told that it would feature Snapdragon 820 SoC, then it was reported that it has a USB Type-C Port.
In terms of pricing, it has been rumored that the phone might cost ten percent less than expected when it launches although it is expected to have smart hardware features like heat pipes to counter overheating of the Snapdragon 820 and probably a touch sensitive screen featuring a 3D-touch like functionality.
