Wii U CEMU Runs Mario Kart 8, RPVS3 DX12 Emulates Multiple PS3 Titles
Emulation fascinates a lot of gamers, and now there’s a great news for all those interested in emulating Wii U and Playstation 3.
We’ve already seen Microsoft and Sony introducing their own emulation features on their consoles. Redmond debuted Xbox One backward compatibility bringing a number 360 titles to the current gen console, while PlayStation 4 now emulates a select number of PS2 titles. With that said, two emulators, namely PS3 DX12 and Wii U on PC, have come a long way recently.
The latest version of the Wii U ‘CEMU’ emulator now has Mario Kart 8 running on PC. That is an incredible progress considering the first public build for the emulator was released back in October of this year. The emulation is far from perfect for obvious reasons, but it sure looks promising and won’t disappoint the excited fans.
Wii U emulation however would require high system specs, as the rig used to record the footage features an overclocked i7-4790K, running on a GTX 980.
The DX12 version of the RPCS 3 PS3 emulator, on the hand, can now be seen running multiple PS3 titles, including After Burner: Climax, Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit (lots of artifacts and broken visuals on this one) and Silent Hill 3 using DX12.
