ASUS Announces New WQHD Frameless Display
ASUS announced a new 1440p WQHD monitor today, Designo MX25AQ, with the main focus probably being those users with multiple display setups.
While gaming on multiple displays is totally possible, the large LCD bezels can be somewhat distracting. It’s ok when someone uses such a set up for work purposes since you can have different tasks on different screens, not so much when playing intense games. The Designo MX25AQ seeks to change this by serving as a display that fits all purposes.
The MX25AQ is a 25-inch screen with 2560×1440 resolution and a minimalistic frameless design to maximum visual experience, whether it is entertainment or side by side work. The monitor utilizes an AH-IPS panel with 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, 300 nits maximum brightness, 178/178 degree viewing angles, 100 million:1 ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio, 50-75HZ refresh rate, and 5ms (GTG) response time.
As expected, the monitor also uses ASUS’ Flicker-Free technology to minimize eye strain during long sessions of computer usage. Coupled with Blue Light Filter and ASUS SplendidPlus Video, the monitor should be absolute please for eyes even after hours of usage.
For connectivity purposes, the display supports dual HDMI ports, 1 HDMI/MHL port and a 1.2 DisplayPort. The monitor also has two built-in 2W stereo speakers equipped with ASUS SonicMaster and ICEpower technology for rich quality sound.
There is no official word about the pricing or launch date of MX25AQ yet but given its beautiful design and amazing features, the price would definitely be worth it.
