New Asus Zen Smartphones Strong Enough To Serve As Chopping Boards
Asus’ Zen devices have certainly gathered interest over the past few years and the trend seems to continue with their two latest smartphone offerings, ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Selfie. Not only are both these phones really great when it comes to specifications, they are tough as nails according to the latest promo video released for ZenFone 2 Laser.
Thanks to the Gorilla Glass 4 protection on the phones, the video demonstrates that the devices can even be used as chopping boards to cut vegetable, without any serious harm or even a scratch coming to the phone.
Obviously it’s the front of the phone that is in question here and the back will get scratched if you use it to play some sport or as a chopping board (that doesn’t mean you should actually do the same thing as the video on the phone screen and later end up having to get a replacement).
Besides having tough displays, the ZenFone 2 Laser and ZenFone Selfie run Android Lollipop, and are powered by octa-core Snapdragon 615 processors. Other common features include 13 MP rear cameras with laser auto focus, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage space, and 3000 mAh batteries.
Both phones also have 5.5-inch screens capable of 1080p resolution. At the moment, only the ZenFone 2 Laser is available in the US, for prices starting at $199.99 for the unlocked model.
