Exynos 8890 Leaked Benchmark Scores Indicate Performance Over 100K
While there hasn’t been any official unveiling or announcement about the next Galaxy S flagship smartphone by Samsung, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that a Galaxy S7 is on the way and should be announced sometime early next year. Given the fact that Samsung recently unveiled their Exynos 8890 chipset, its highly likely that S7 will also be using the same processor.
Thanks to some leaked benchmark images, we now have an idea about the performance that can be expected from Exynos 8890 and from the looks of it, Galaxy S7 will really be an amazing phone if it does end up being powered by this processor. Although given the nature of the leaked images and industry rumors, it would be better not to land high expectations since further down the line, performance can be downgraded either intentionally or due to limitations.
The processor manages to break through the 100k benchmark score barrier, with the final score resting at 103692. This score should come as no surprise to anyone since Samsung is known for its exceptionally powerful processors. With Exynos 7420 being one of the top performing ones available right now, it certainly is good to see them not plateauing and continuing to improve.
Exynos 8890 comes equipped with custom Mongoos M1 cores alongside four Cortex A53 cores while going for an even more compact design resulting in improved space saving and performance efficiency.
