Lenovo And Razer Announce Partnership To Create Razer Themed Hardcore Gaming Rig
What happens when two companies known for their amazing gaming related products end up collaborating? Hopefully something magical. Lenovo and Razer have just announced that both companies will be teaming up to create hardcore gaming desktops, even more hardcore than Lenovo’s current lineup of gaming desktops and notebooks.
The Lenovo Razer Edition products will be part of Lenovo’s Y series gaming systems with the first product being a desktop PC. While on the paper, the specifications of the PC might not end up being all that exciting or out of this world, there are some visual design choices and software tweaks that would please enthusiastic gamers.
Lenovo’s red accent lighting has been replaced by green, which is associated with Razer’s gaming products while the bottom portion of the chassis emits multi-chromatic lighting similar to the Razer Chroma series of gaming peripherals.
With the partnership, Lenovo brings its years of PC design expertise and knowledge as the world’s largest PC OEM while Razer will be offering their expertise in the gaming sector. Though somewhat rivaled by companies such as SteelSeries and Logitech, this union should not only help Razer make an even bigger mark in the gaming world but also take Lenovo to unprecedented heights.
“Lenovo is the world’s #1 PC maker. Razer is the world’s #1 gaming lifestyle brand. Together we have the passion, insight and operational capabilities to delight and empower the PC gaming community worldwide,” said Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan.
The Lenovo Razer Edition Gaming Desktop is set to launch in January during CES 2016 and hopefully there will be more products from both companies in a similar fashion.
