BIOSTAR Announces GeForce GAMING GTX 950 for $199 – 2GB GDDR5, Fan With Two Coolers
BIOSTAR has announced their own version of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 graphics card which will set users back only $199 off the shelf. Based on the GM206-250-A1 GPU, BIOSTAR’s GeForce GAMING GTX 950 supports the latest DirectX 12 API and 1080p gaming, along with delivering the maximum display resolution of 5120 × 3200 pixels..
The GeForce GAMING GTX 950 includes 768 CUDA Cores, 48 texture mapping units and 32 raster operation units. On the memory side, the card packs 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM across a 128-bit interface. The GPU frequency is clocked at 1024 MHz base, with up to 1188 MHz boost clock speeds.
In addition, the card offers various NVIDIA-exclusive features to enhance the user experience, including GeForce Experience, Dynamic Super Resolution (DSR), Multi-Frame SuperSampling, native PhysX acceleration and more.
The new product is equipped with a cooler with two fans; however, at the same time, it reduces the video outputs to four: dual-DVI, one DisplayPort and one HDMI. The reference GeForce GTX 950 model has five video outputs including one DVI, three DisplayPort and one HDMI.
