Star Wars The Force Awakens VR Experience Announced!
It looks like Virtual Reality is going to change up our experiences much quicker than we expected – and that too, with a bang! Disney has announced a Star Wars The Force Awakens VR based experience for all of you!
This is not just about getting to view a movie in a virtual reality headset, this is about actually experiencing what it is to be on the Dark Side or Light Side. Google and Disney are partnering to provide you with something unprecedented.
Disney announced today that in an unprecedented collaboration with Google, Star Wars fans will have an opportunity to share in immersive experiences — Awaken the Force Within and Google Cardboard Virtual Reality — in celebration of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
All you need to do is log in here and tons of apps like Android Wear Watches, Google Calendar, Chrome, Chromecast, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Now, Waze, YouTube, Gmail, Google Translate, and Google Search will transform to show the path you chose.
Talking of the VR experience itself, it is going to be a “first-of-its-kind serialized Google Cardboard Virtual Reality (VR) experience that combines a compelling story, which ties directly into the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
This will be available in the Star Wars app for both iOS and Android. You will also get to choose between four specially designed Google Cardboard viewers on or after December 2.
