Snapchat Updates on iOS with Story Replies and Improved Lenses
After the recent update that introduced support for 3D Touch in the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Snapchat app now updates to version 188.8.131.52 bringing some minor but interesting changes.
First, when viewing Stories by your contacts, you can now open a quick chat with the user. Further, the lenses are functional with the rear camera to enhance the user experience. The complete changelog is as below.
What’s New In This Version:
* Swipe up while watching a friend’s Story to send them a quick chat. They’ll see your chat, plus the Snap you’re talking about.
* Lenses now work with your device’s rear-facing camera! Just press and hold on a face to use Lenses.
You can download Snapchat for free from the App Store. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and requires iOS 7.0 or later.
In other news, Snapchat wants the 2016 presidential candidates to spend some of their ad money on its ephemeral messaging platform. The company is actively pitching the political campaigns as it claims to have millions of millennial users, two-thirds of which are potential voters.
