Nvidia Announces Shield K1 Tablet, Tegra Powered Gaming At A Cheaper Price
Nvidia’s Shield gaming tablet may not have been as successful or fun as many people had originally hoped but it definitely did start something new with the In-Home streaming facilities offered. No doubt a powerful gaming tablet capable of PC level visuals, not a whole lot of people were willing to dish out a large sum of money for the device.
Fortunately, the GPU manufacturer is now aiming to change that perception by launching a new model, Shield K1 Tablet. While this new model will have the same specifications as the old one, including the same Kepler K1 chip, it will have a lower price tag so more people would be interested.
Seeing as how even after years of its launch, Shield is still one of the most powerful tablets in the market with its Tegra K1 2.2GHz Quad core processor, the new price tag of just £150 should entice a lot of people to purchase the device and enjoy gaming on the go.
The 16GB internal storage and ability to increase it through a microSD card ensures that owners can have multiple games on their Android powered device at the same time without having to worry about storage space.
The lack of a stylus or a charger in the package is somewhat of a downside, especially since charging with a simple USB could possibly take ages.
