ASUS Zen AiO Pro Packs 4K IPS, Intel Skylake and Windows 10 OS
Asus has unveiled their all-in-one desktop PC, the Zen AiO Pro, featuring a 24-inch 4K IPS display and 6th-gen Intel Skylake processors.
The 16-pound, Aluminum-body Zen AiO Pro has a somewhat obvious inspiration, i.e., the Apple iMac – though there are a few details that set it apart from its doppelganger. The PC has the signature Asus textured circle on the back, for instance, along with the optional gold casing.
Asus explains on its official website:
The Zen AiO Pro is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and design, with a slim unibody shell and integral stand forged from aluminum. The sophisticated appearance is enhanced by a layer of edge-to-edge glass covering the display, while the rear cover has a brushed-metal finish that complements the spun-metal concentric circles on the front fascia. A vision of elegance, the Zen AiO Pro’s exterior is anodized a stylish yet subtle Icicle Gold color that adds a touch of beauty to any space.
Apart from the external aesthetics, the system features some pretty impressive specs depending on how you decide to configure it. The 23.8-inch screen offers both 1920×1080 and a multi-touch 4K (UHD) 3840×2160, along with a 178-degree viewing angle.
As for CPU options, the AiO Pro includes the Intel Core i7-6700T, paired with 4GB of DDR4-2133 RAM (expandable to 32GB) and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M (1GB/2GB) or 960M (2GB/4GB) GPU.
Other features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.1 Type-C ports, 2-in-1 memory card reader, and Windows 10 Home. Further, there is 1MP webcam with optional 2MP Intel RealSense camera that allows features like facial recognition.
The Zen AiO Pro starts at $999, and is available now with select configurations.
