Samsung Galaxy A9 Spotted on Zauba, Confirmed to Feature 6-inch Display
The Samsung Galaxy A9, with model number SM-A9000, has recently been spotted on India’s import / export database Zauba, indicating the device will quite probably launch in India in the coming weeks.
As seen in the listing, the phone has been imported into the country from South Korea, with the import prices ranging between INR 13,201 and 19,801 per unit. But that won’t be the phone’s final price, of course, as it is rumored to cost around INR 35000 (apprx. $532).
The Galaxy A9 was earlier spotted in the AnTuTu benchmark tests revealing its specs. The benchmark suggests that the device will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, and powered by a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 620 processor, coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM.
The A9 will feature 32GB internal memory and is expected to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Zauba’s listing, however, indicates that the handset might actually sport a 6-inch display, not the 5.5-inch panel that was leaked earlier. If that happens, it will be the biggest ever screen size from Samsung for a smartphone.
More details will roll out once the device gets certified on TENAA. Since then, stay tuned!
