Motorola Unveils Moto G Turbo Edition With 5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 FHD Display
Motorola recently unveiled a new smartphone from its Moto G family in Mexico. While not technically a new phone since it’s a lot similar to the third generation variant of Moto G, the amped up specifications of the unveiled Moto G Turbo Edition definitely make it a worthy upgrade or a new purchase. Where third gen Moto G featured a 5 inch 720 screen, Turbo Edition will have a 5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 capable of 1080p resolution.
The screen isn’t the only upgrade when it comes to Turbo Edition. The earlier used Snapdragon 410 chipset has been replaced with the Snapdragon 615 along with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 405 GPU. The Turbo Edition will also feature 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
The front facing camera also seems to be pretty impressive with 5MP for video chats while the main camera is 13MP. In terms of battery life, the Turbo Edition seems to have a decent amount for its screen size. The phone will also support Motorola’s very own Turbo charging feature to significantly charge up the 2470mAh battery within mere minutes.
The smartphone is expected to cost around $283 which seems fine given the features it offers, however the only sad news is that it seems to be only available in Mexico for now, although that might change if it is met with a favorable response once it is officially available in markets starting from 13th November.
