AMD Releases Catalyst 15.11 Drivers For Call of Duty Black Ops 3
AMD has recently been trying to step up its game when it comes to driver support, something the company was criticized for a long time in the past.
Continuing that tradition, the company released new Catalyst 15.11 beta drivers yesterday, just in time for the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and the drivers do exactly what one would expect from them in such a situation, provide some much needed optimization to the game.
Optimization for Black Ops 3 however isn’t the only thing included with the drivers as they also eliminate a couple of bugs from the previous releases. One such critical issue that has been fixed by the driver concerns Ashes of Singularity and the game should no longer crash or fail to launch on Radeon 300 series cards or other GPUs with 2GB video memory.
Just with every software however, not all the issues can be eliminated at once and there are reports of CrossFire setup users experiencing flickering while playing Black Ops 3 in DirectX 11 mode and crashes while playing Batman: Arkham Knight, although the latter might have to do with the game itself given the state it is in even after relaunch.
The drivers can be automatically downloaded from the Catalyst Control Center or manually through the official AMD website.
