Acer Announces Two New Displays For Its Predator Gaming Monitor Lineup
Acer has just increased its roster of Predator gaming monitor lineup with the announcement of two new 27-inch displays in the Predator XB1 series.
Both displays, since aimed at gamers and promise to deliver a premium gaming experience, have a 4ms response time and are equipped with Nvidia’s G-Sync technology to prevent screen tearing and stutters during gaming sessions. This is done by dynamically adjusting the refresh rate of the monitor themselves to match that of the frames per second of the game.
The cheaper of the two displays, XB271HU, features a Zero-Frame design for maximum screen size and minimum bezel which makes it ideal for multi display setups. It also has a WQHD 1440p IPS panel display along with Acer’s Predator EyeProtect technology to reduce flicker and prevent eye strain over long gaming sessions.
The XB271HU also features Acer GameView that allows for quick and easy switching between color profiles to adjust brightness of the screen.
The other model, XB271HK is a true beast. While it features pretty much the same benefits as 271HU in terms of screen quality, viewing angles and IPS screen, this display supports 4K UHD resolution with 1.07 billion colors for 100 percent sRGB color accuracy.
Both the displays also come equipped with a multitude of connectivity options via HDMI, DisplayPort v1.2 and also serve as USB 3.0 hubs on account of having 5 USB 3.0 ports. The displays also have inbuilt 2W stereo speakers.
The Predator XB1 series is expected to launch later this month with the 271HU costing $799 and 271HK being priced at $899.
