Gigabyte Announces Z170X Gaming 6 Motherboard
Some of the recent gaming motherboards in Gigabyte’s Z170 chipset lineup like the Z170X Gaming G1 certainly do look great with that mixture of white and red but all that white may not be everyone’s cup of tea, especially enthusiast PC builders who prefer darker colors in their system components while using bright LED lights. For such people, Gigabyte has unveiled a new motherboard, GA-Z170X-Gaming 6 and it takes motherboards to old days when black was everything (although it still uses red here and there).
The Gaming 6 doesn’t just look cool though because when it comes to premium gaming boards, users expected a lot of features as well and for those purposes, the motherboard is well equipped. It features 3.1 USB ports including a Type-C connector, Dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers, one of which features Killer’s E2200 controller for amazing online gaming performance.
The board also features Realtek’s premium ALC1150 audio codecs along with Creative’s X-Fi audio software for highly quality sound experience. Gigabyte also included a pair of “DAC-UP” USB ports that purportedly offer cleaner power to external DACs than the average USB port.
For SSD users, the board also features Twin PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 slots and three SATA Express connectors for a variety of fast response storage connectivity options. The PCIe slots are also located in such a way that graphics cards can easily be plugged in for SLI or CrossFire in upto 3 way configuration without worrying about room.
