Philips Announces new 27-inch Monitor with Ambient Coloured Mood Light
Philips has just announced a new 27-inch display, the 275C5QHGSW, with its unique AmbiGlow Plus technology.
The monitor is characterized with an ambient-lighting base that offers an immersive lighting experience. The technology basically works similar to Ambilight on Philips TVs as it creates a halo of light on and around the monitor’s base. The monitor’s processor then analyzes and matches the colors being displayed in an instant, creating a “viewing experience that moves color and vibrancy beyond the screen itself.”
In addition, the Ambiglow Plus Base can cycle through different hues. You can even manually select the hue or timing of the light for ambient coloured mood lighting experience. To further enhance the visual experience, the display features near edge-to-edge glass, with a barely-there 3.5mm boarder around the screen.
The Philips 275C5QHGSW sports an AH-IPS panel with Full HD resolution. delivers maximum brightness of 250 nits, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 14 ms response time, 178/178 degree viewing angles, flicker-free backlight, and sRGB color gamut coverage. I/O options include VGA, HDMI, and MHL-HDMI.
The monitor is expected to be available soon and could set you back around the $350 mark.
