Mysterious ‘JM601’ GPU from NVIDIA Spotted on Zauba
NVIDIA might be testing out a new GPU, with a new ‘JM601’ graphics processor, spotted in shipping manifest on Zauba. There is little to no information about what this could be, and what makes it more difficult to identify is its codename ‘JM601’, which is completely out of place, and totally unexpected.
Zauba is the repository of shipping manifests and every upcoming device manufactured at TSMC passes through here. The above mentioned graphics processor shipped from its port on the 14th of October. Considering the weird name of the new Nvidia chip, there’s literally no hint at what is actually happening.
According to the listing, the new JM601 GPU is priced at 73, 917 INR, 73, 917 INR, which equals to approximately 1136 USD. That is a pretty expensive piece, so we should expect a monster GPU.
It could be a dual GPU card based on the company’s current Maxwell architecture, or who knows it might even be a huge Pascal GPU what we’ve all been waiting for. What do you think about the mysterious ‘JM601’ GPU? Let us know in the comments below.
