Nvidia GeForce Driver Version 358.70 Beta Provides Support for GameWorks VR
Nvidia has released new GeForce driver package for developers, especially those working on VR technology. Version 358.70 adds beta support for GameWorks VR SDK as well as fixes bugs, adds various VR SLI enhancements and notebook compatibility.
Given these changes and updated support, no wonder the driver is a recommended update for VR developers if they are using version 356.04
Just like all the other developer releases, the new version is aimed towards 64 bit variant Windows including Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and the latest Windows 10.
Since the driver is aimed towards developers, it is only available to download from Nvidia’s developer portal and won’t be available through software such as GeForce Experience.
If you’re interested in the update, simply save and run the appropriate package for your configuration. Wait for all required files to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete update.
After the update, even if the system doesn’t prompt the user to reboot the system, it’s better to still do it manually to ensure that the driver is fully installed and so that all changes can take effect.
