HTC One A9 will be a good iPhone Alternative, Says Company CEO
It has been quite a while since HTC made some kind of a splash in the Android smartphone market, nothing really huge since the launch of HTC One M8. Well it seems that the company is now aiming to come back strong after more than a year and is looking to challenge Apple’s latest iPhone models.
The company is getting ready to unveil a new smartphone pretty soon, supposedly called HTC One A9, and there are already leaked images available of its final design build available one.
According to Focus Taiwan, in a letter to employees, HTC Chairwoman and CEO Cher Wang said that the One A9 will be a good alternative to Apple’s iPhones, as it “strikes a balance between beauty, performance and simplicity.”
A9 features a 5-inch display capable of 1080p and will be running Android 6.0 out of the box. The device is rumored to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor and 2 or 3GB of RAM. The camera will be capable of taking pictures up to 13MP while the storage will be either 16 or 32GB with the possibility of expansion through microSD cards.
In Europe, the One A9 is expected to cost €600 which is considerably cheaper than the cheapest model of Apple’s iPhone 6s, so from the looks of it HTC atleast has the price nailed down.
Openly admits his dislike of all things Apple and is a complete Android fanboy. Whenever he looks at something touch enabled or VR, be prepared for a massive geek out. Loves spending his free time experimenting with various Android ROMs.
