Oppo Announces Powerful New R7s With 4GB RAM, VOOC Rapid Charge
The Chinese company Oppo has been taking the smartphone market by storm and seems to be showing no signs of stopping especially with the unveiling of the Oppo R7s, a new addition to the R7 family.
Officially unveiled at GITEX in Dubai, the device will be able to purchase from next week, however this release date is only for select Asian countries. Europe, United States and rest of the world will have to wait till December to get their hands on the phone.
Oppo R7s is equipped with a 1080p capable 5.5 inch AMOLED featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for extra protection. A 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 powers the device alongside 4GB of RAM which is pretty massive (most of the latest smartphones including Nexus 6 are running 3GB).
The phone has built-in 32GB storage which can be expanded to 128GB via microSD card. A 13 megapixel main camera with Sony’s IMX214 sensor and a 8 megapixel front facing camera makes the R7s a great choice for photographs.
The phone’s high capacity 3,070 mAh battery features VOCC Rapid Charge support, which should charge it up to 90% in just 50 minutes. Last but not least, the R7s offers hybrid dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, as well Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS. The phone will ship with Android 5.1 OS with Oppo’s own Color OS 2.1 flavor on top of it.
There is no confirm price tag for R7s but given the specifications, it should be pretty expensive by not only Chinese phone standards but also the worldwide ones.
