Meizu Blue Charm Metal Leak Reveals Design Details, Hints at Magnesium Aluminum Body
Meizu is readying to unveil a new premium smartphone, allegedly called the Meizu Blue Charm Metal, in just a few days. Until then though, it looks like new information about the handset has leaked, providing hints on the design of the smartphone.
A new teaser and some images of the so-called Meizu Blue Charm Metal have appeared on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo. If the information is to be believed, the new phone will feature an magnesium aluminum build. This alloy is said to be included between the two layers of plastic to make it more resistant to scratches or accidental drops.
As for the specifications, the Meizu Blue Charm Metal will most likely be powered by an octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset is said to come with 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
The Blue Charm Metal should sport a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It will boast a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front shooter.
As for the operating system, the device might run on Android Lollipop, though various reports claim that it would be powered by Alibaba’s YunOS.
The leak indicates that the new Meizu handset will be available in multiple color options such as pink, blue, gray, and white. However, there are no details regarding the pricing of the phone. The Meizu Blue Charm Metal is expected to be officially introduced on October 21.
