Microsoft Details Massive Ad Campaign For Halo 5
Microsoft has a pretty great looking AAA exclusive games line up for the second half of 2015. They know it and pretty much every gamer does too whether they are a PlayStation user or Xbox. That still doesn’t stop Microsoft from making sure that every soul on the planet finds out about the upcoming exclusive games for Xbox One, one of which the highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians.
To that end, Microsoft has launched such a widespread and massive ad campaign across numerous platforms including TV, cinema and VOD. The campaign not only includes game clips and videos but also live action scenes created just for the campaign to increase the hype among people to ensure that even if someone isn’t particularly a Halo fan, they would still be intrigued after watching it.
The campaign started back in January with the launch of Halo 5 multiplayer beta and there seems to be no stopping the massive cash amount Microsoft has invested in it. It is reported that over 80 percent of UK based gamers have already seen an ad for Halo 5 through various mediums.
“Since January, the campaign has been viewed by more than 80 per cent of UK gamers; encompassing TV, cinema, digital, outdoor, VOD and press to reach core and mainstream gamers alike,” Xbox content and services boss Amanda Farr said.
The ad campaign has picked up quite the momentum over the past few weeks, all in anticipation of the upcoming release date of October 27th. The first new TV spot for the game has more than 1.6 million views just on YouTube and it also aired on UK’s Channel 4.
