Mario Kart in Unreal Engine 4 Can Now Be Downloaded
The renowned Unreal Engine 4 developer CryZENx has been teasing a Mario game in Epic Games’ powerful, futuristic game graphic engine for a while now.
Now, you can actually play the game, as CryZENx has released a downloadable version. Of course, it’s still fairly limited because of a lack of characters, but it’s extremely impressive nevertheless. The developer also promises to add additional characters in the game in further iterations, and states that Donkey Kong for the Unreal 4 Mario Kart is almost ready as well.
The game comes with basic controls with the keyboard, but there’s no support for a gamepad as of yet. You can get the game by downloading it from here.
Unreal Engine 4 is still relatively new and unused by developers, with the title ARK: Survival Evolved being the only currently released (and relatively well-known) game that utilizes it.
This obviously shows that we are yet to see the full potential of the powerful engine from Epic Games, which is a successor to the world-class Unreal Engine 3, arguably the best and most versatile engine of the last generation of games.
