Intel’s upcoming Skylake-based Celeron CPUs are already available for pre-order in the Provantage online store. What’s more, specifications of future Celeron processors have now surfaced online thanks to CPU support lists of Biostar motherboards.
According to the source, there are at least three Celeron Skylake solutions incoming which are built on the new 14 nanometer architecture and are compatible with socket LGA 1151 platforms. All three CPUs are dual-core with 2MB of L3 cache and feature 2 threads, Intel HD 510 graphics and support for DDR4-2133 and DDR3L memory.
The high-end Celeron G3920 comes with a clock frequency of 2.9 GHz and a TDP of 47 Watts. TDP remains the same but frequency changes for Celeron G3900, which is set to operate at 2.8 GHz.
The G3900T is a low power processor, rated at 35 Watt TDP, and it operates at 2.6 GHz. For reference, Haswell-based Celeron G1840, G1850 and G1840T models were clocked at 2.8 GHz, 2.9 GHz and 2.5 GHz respectively.
Pre-order prices of the G3900 and G3920 CPUs are $48.26 and $57.75 respectively, which is about $6 higher than official prices of the G1840 and G1850 processors. You can find more details on Skylake Celerons in HP ProDesk 400 PC and ProDesk 490 PC QuickSpecs document over HERE.
