Nvidia Pascal GPU Pictures Reveal HBM 2.0
It is a fact that Nvidia Pascal GPU is still to get official details from the company, but it is also a fact that the rumormill is stronger than ever. There are numerous speculations as well as leaks that have told us a lot about it.
The latest on that front is a set of images leaked from the GTC Taiwan 2015. The images reveal the new graphics core with HBM 2.0!
Of course the images were not a detailed account of the board that is going to be a part of the Nvidia Pascal GPU but they did give away that HBM 2.0 technology is going to make its way on top of it.
If you quantify this, it means the Pascal is going to reach about 1TB/s memory bandwidth which is exactly the double of what AMD achieves with their latest Fiji GPUs.
Since all this is coming from unofficial sources, we don’t have other comprehensive details. However, it is expected that Nvidia Pascal GPU is going to get more information from the company itself very soon as they are planning to launch it in the first half of 2016.
It was previously reported that the HBM 2.0 for Pascal is going to be manufactured by Samsung as well as SK Hynix both.
