iPhone 6s Keeps Turning off? Here’s How to Fix It
A number of iPhone 6s users are complaining of their handsets turing off for no apparent reason. Users of the Apple’s latest flagship device have reported on forums and social media that they’re experiencing random shut downs and there appears to be no specific reason why it’s happening.
The issue seems to be mostly affecting the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, although a few iPhone 5 users have also complained of their handsets either freezing on a blank screen or turning off altogether even with full battery.
It’s unlikely to be a hardware issue, rather a software bug in iOS 9.0.1. Since the shut downs are completely random, we can’t blame a specific function at the moment. Several users have, however, reported that the fault prevented the alrm from going off. Here’s a response from a user Kring101, who is facing the same issue:
Same issue here on 6S+, only happened once. my alarm went off in the AM, I tapped snooze and then the phone was unresponsive and I couldn’t get it to come back, thankfully I didn’t oversleep but I was surprised when no second alarm didn’t sound… Even holding down buttons didn’t work for a bit. eventually it came back up after third attempt to hold down both buttons for 10 seconds. I’ll note I’m running latest 9.1 public Beta 2
Fix iPhone 6s That keeps Turning off: Most iPhone users claim that doing a hard reset is the only way to resolve this issue. To hard reset your device, hold down the Power and Home buttons together. Once you’re up and running, go to Settings and reset factory settings.
It’s also recommended to update your device to to the latest iOS 9.0.2 that was released last week since it brings fixed for a number of bugs and glitches.
