Sony Xperia Z5 Has a Better Camera Than Galaxy S6 Edge, New Tests Show
Sony Xperia Z5 was put up against Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge, in a head to head battle of the camera. While the S6 Edge comes out with its head held high, Xperia Z5 is able to beat Samsung’s latest.
The Xperia Z5 managed to get 88 in its Photo score, meanwhile 86 in its Video score. As for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, in previous tests it managed an overall score of 86.

Xperia Z5 showed an impressive autofocus in all conditions, but artifacts were visible with blue sky saturation in photos. Meanwhile, video camera showed decent image stabilization and autofocus capabilities. However, tremors became visible sometimes, even when using a tripod.
Testers also observed impressive detail preservation, noise level, accurate white balance and color rendering in Xperia Z5. Overall, Xperia Z5 managed to beat S6 Edge, but not by a massive margin. Xperia Z5’s success is mainly due to the use of 1/2.3” type 23MP Exmor RS camera sensor, an f/2.0 aperture 24mm equivalent Sony G lens and hybrid autofocus technology.
