OnePlus X To Launch This Month, Features 5in Display and Snapdragon 801
Earlier, OnePlus CEO Carl Pei confirmed that they would release the next OnePlus smartphone by the end of the year. Now, it seems that the time has come; a new report has emerged out of China claiming that the new device could be dubbed the OnePlus X and will go official this month.
According to a report from GizmoChina, the smartphone maker has redesigned the upcoming OnePlus X to make it look more appealing than the current OnePlus 2. The news comes from credible factory sources so chances are that they will turn out to be true.
No specifics have been shared but the source suggests that the new handset with the dual cameras do look more premium than the OnePlus 2. Also, the phone will apparently feature a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Apart from the design, the new OnePlus X is said to come with a smaller 5-inch display and pack last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset under the hood. This should help the company cut down the price aggressively, possibly around $249.
Finally, the OnePlus X is rumored to launch sometime this month, which once again coincides with the information leaked earlier.
We’ll update you as soon as we get more information about the OnePlus X. Stay tuned!
