Here are Two New Ways to Activate Windows 10
Windows 10 is now installed in over 100 million PCs worldwide and Microsoft is on its way to completing its goal of 1 billion downloads in 3 years. One other goal of Microsoft was two simplify the installation and activation process, but I have to say a lot confusion looms over the matter.
Microsoft didn’t share much on the topic back then, but thankfully, a proper guidance page with two new ways to activate windows 10 is now live.
Now, in order to activate your copy of Windows 10, you must get a digital entitlement or use a 25-character key, depending on how you got the copy. As you may know, 25-characters keys are provided with physical copies of Windows 10, however, you’ll need digital entitlement if you upgraded from a genuine copy of Windows 7 or 8.1.
This also applies if you are a “Windows Insider and upgraded to the newest Windows 10 Insider Preview build on an eligible device that was running an activated previous version of Windows and Windows 10 Preview.”
