Snapdragon 820 vs 810 Benchmarks Shows Significant Performance Improvement
Qualcomm is currently working on its next beast of a chip, which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The company is tweaking and optimizing every little aspect to provide powerful and stable performance to its users.
Qualcomm 810 had some heating and performance issues, surely creators are also making sure that doesn’t happen. Speaking of performance, we have some leaked benchmarks comparing performance between 820 and 810.
Below you can see an image of the benchmark. 810 performance is being showed in green, an old prototype of 820 is in orange, while the current version of the 820 chipset can be seen in red.
Judging by the results, the 820 is significantly better than the rest across the board. Rumor has it that Snapdragon 820 will be used in Samsung Galaxy S7. Samsung on the other hand is quite confident with its Exynos line of chips, so may see Exynos instead of Snapdragon.
In other Qualcomm news, the company is turning heads in the drone market as well. According to marketing VP Tim McDonough:
Integrating separate components on a system on a chip (SoC) we believe has fuelled the smartphone revolution by making them both more affordable and higher performance. Qualcomm is applying those principles to the drone market. We aim to enhance the capability and bring down costs to make them more accessible.
